Can you briefly describe your journey into tech?
I took my first steps into tech when I was starting my studies in Technology Management, and was working together with computer scientists and engineers on developing mobile apps and new tech product ideas. With Code First: Girls, this journey speeded up significantly.
What advice would you give to your 18 year old self?
Six years ago, I was a lot less self-confident than I feel today, and sometimes a bit too influenceable, not always knowing whether I was doing the right thing, especially when (random) people told me off.
I still don't know whether everything I do is right, but I feel much more confident now that what I truly think is right, is most likely also the right choice for myself.
Tell us a little about what you do day to day.
I work for a young company called Maths Doctor, which is part of Macmillan's Digital Education and which offers online tutorials to students in the UK. In my job as project manager, I am integrating other businesses into our platform so that they can offer online tutorials to their own users. Recently I have worked together with startups from Silicon Valley and a global science magazine based in New York. My London team has more women than men, and a female CEO.
