We're dedicated to helping more young women find careers in tech and what better way to do this than to hear from some of the amazing women who have taken this path?

On the 12th April, we are a holding a full day of talks and workshops from some of the best women building, founding and working in the world of tech, including:

  • Sarah Wood - founder of marketing technology company Unruly Media. Sarah has been voted UK Female Entrepreneur of the Year by the Growing Business Awards, one of 15 Women to Watch in Tech by Inc. and one of 10 London-Based Entrepreneurs to Watch by Forbes. Sarah teaches the Screen Media and Cultures MPhil at the University of Cambridge.
  • Kathryn Parsons - Founder Decoded which demystifies the "dark arts" of the web and demonstrates that anyone and everyone can acquire the basic skills they need to understand what goes on behind the screen. She is also the winner of the Veuve Clicquot New Generation Award 2013
  • Avid Larizadeh - Founder of Boticca, the world’s luxury bazaar of fashion accessories. Prior to Boticca, she was at Accel Partners, Skype and eBay. Avid has a BS and MS in engineering at Stanford University and she also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
You will spend the day at Google Campus, learning from the best and helping you think about either why you should learn to code, or how you can put your new found skills into action.

The day is totally free, courtesy of our amazing sponsors Bank of America Merrill Lynch and the City of London Corporation. The day is run by Code First: Girls in conjunction with Entrepreneur First, the UK's leading graduate accelerator programme.
